This notice explains how drivemyway.co.uk and the Drive My Way app use cookies and similar technologies.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use an app. They help the site work properly and can provide information about how it is used.
| Type | Purpose | Example | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Make the website and app work (login, security, basic functions) | Session and authentication cookies | Session / while signed in |
| Analytics (only with your consent) | Google Analytics, helps us understand which pages are visited and how the site is used, so we can improve it. Never loaded unless you press Accept on the banner. | _ga, _ga_9R0QJY337J | Up to 2 years |
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.
The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics (Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics). If you decline (or ignore it), neither of those runs at all, only the strictly-necessary cookies the site can't work without. Your choice is remembered on this device.
Separately, and whatever you choose, we count how many times each page is opened. That count sets no cookie, stores nothing on your device and records nothing about you: just the page address, and the campaign tag that was already in the link if you arrived from an advert. Because nothing identifies a visitor, one person reading three pages is simply three counts. We cannot tell that it was the same person, and that is deliberate. We use it to see which pages people reach, nothing more.
Change my cookie choice clears your saved answer and shows the banner again.
The Drive My Way app may use similar technologies for login, security and basic functionality. These are needed for the app to work.
For full details about how we handle personal data, see the Privacy Policy.
